What a Working System Never Tells You
A watch movement can keep ticking, technically accurate, at a rate cut decades ago for a wrist that's since changed. The drift doesn't read as failure, it reads as timekeeping. The same happens with the pace a person's nervous system was set to early on, for stimulation, for closeness, for how much a day can hold. Nobody miscut the gears. What's missing is the recalibration nobody thought to schedule as life moved to a different tempo.
