If you’re considering reaching out, this page is meant to help you decide—calmly and honestly—whether working together makes sense before scheduling anything.

You don’t need to rush. You don’t need to be certain.
You just need enough information to notice whether this feels aligned.

Tucson's Best Trauma Therapist

Who This Practice Is For

This practice is designed for adults who are looking for depth-oriented, nervous-system-based trauma therapy.

It may be a good fit if you:

  • Feel stuck despite previous therapy

  • Experience anxiety, shutdown, numbness, or overwhelm

  • Notice dissociation, internal conflict, or “parts” that react automatically

  • Have a history of complex, developmental, or relational trauma

  • Want therapy that moves slowly and prioritizes safety

  • Are willing to engage in a process rather than look for quick fixes

Many clients who find their way here are thoughtful, capable, and self-aware—yet still struggling in ways that don’t respond to insight alone.

Who This Practice Is Not For

Clarity here protects both of us.

This practice may not be the right fit if you:

  • Are looking primarily for coping skills, advice, or coaching

  • Want highly structured homework or step-by-step programs

  • Prefer fast, directive, or exposure-heavy approaches

  • Are seeking crisis-level or inpatient support

  • Are required to attend therapy by a court or third party

If that’s what you’re looking for, I’m glad you’re seeking support—but another provider may be better suited.

What Therapy Here Is Like

Therapy here is nervous-system-led, paced, and consent-based.

That means:

  • We pay close attention to how your body and nervous system respond in the present

  • We don’t push into material before there’s enough safety and capacity

  • Processing happens when your system is ready—not on a schedule

  • Silence, slowing down, and subtle shifts matter

  • Progress is measured by integration and stability, not intensity

Sessions are collaborative and attuned rather than directive or prescriptive.

What Therapy Here Is Not

Therapy here is not:

  • Primarily talk-based processing or problem-solving

  • About reliving or retelling traumatic events

  • Focused on diagnosing or labeling you

  • About pushing through discomfort to “get it over with”

  • A place where you’re expected to perform insight or progress

The goal is not catharsis.
The goal is
less effort, more internal coherence, and increased capacity over time.

What to Expect at the Beginning

Initial Sessions

Early sessions focus on:

  • Understanding what brings you in

  • Establishing pacing and safety

  • Noticing how your nervous system responds

  • Clarifying goals and boundaries

We move slowly at first on purpose. This sets the foundation for deeper work later.

Ongoing Work

As therapy continues, we may work with:

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Parts or ego states

  • Trauma processing approaches (when appropriate)

  • Integration of changes into daily life

Nothing is forced. You remain in control of the pace.

Practical Considerations

  • Private-pay practice

  • Adults only

  • Superbills available for out-of-network reimbursement

  • Sessions are typically weekly or biweekly

  • Located in Tucson, Arizona

Questions about fees or logistics can be discussed during a consultation.

A Note About Fit

Finding the right therapist matters.

You’re allowed to be discerning. You’re allowed to ask questions.
You’re allowed to notice what feels settling—and what doesn’t.

If this approach resonates, the next step is a brief consultation.
If it doesn’t, that information is valuable too.

Next Steps

If you’re unsure and just want clarity:

  • You’re welcome to review the Services pages

  • Or reach out with a brief question before scheduling

There’s no pressure to decide quickly.
