What the Body Learns to Carry
There's a specific exhaustion that doesn't match the day that produced it. Nothing especially catastrophic happened, and yet something in a person gives out anyway, disproportionate to any single cause. The instinct is to search for what went wrong today, when today may have simply been the day that landed on top of pressure that had been building, unaddressed, for far longer. Effort was never the missing ingredient. Room was.

The Pressure Was Never the Problem
An old pipe holds for decades, built for a town that no longer exists. Then the town grows, the pressure rises, and a seam that sat quietly for years finally gives. This isn't failure, it's a system carrying more than it was ever rated for. The same is true of a person's capacity for intensity, built at one age, for one set of demands, and never revisited as life outgrew it. The break isn't the problem. It's the information.
