The Line That Makes the Depth Survivable
A diver descends on a line, not to stop the descent but to make it survivable when the water gets too dark to tell up from down. Deep trauma processing works on a similar principle. DBR anchors the process in a locatable physical sensation, tension around the eyes, the base of the skull, the shoulders, so that no matter how disorienting the material becomes, there's something to follow back to the surface.

DBR and State Structuring Are Not the Same Thing
DBR reaches toward what happened. State structuring reaches toward what formed. These are not interchangeable methods. They work at different levels of the nervous system, and using one without the other leaves something unaddressed. This essay draws the clinical line between them.
